A man once told me that the smartest people are the ones that listen more and speak less. I’ve been doing that a lot lately. This past week I spent 5 days in florida doing business and attending an event called ZOIQ. This was seriously one of the best events that I have attended before. I met Kevin Harrington, Forbes Riley, Robert Angel (founder of Pictionary), Brian Smith (founder of Ugg Boots), LinkedIn experts, and Facebook experts. They all had great advice and taught me some valuable information. I listened and took notes. All of these people have many more years of experience then me and have learned things that can help me with my business.
I’ve found out that sometimes you just need to take in everything you hear and speak up less. Learn from others and when it’s your turn, speak up with your area of expertise. You should always be willing to learn new things and soak up everything so it can help you with your own endeavors. As a young entrepreneur I know that there are many things that I have yet to learn, that’s why I surround myself with highly successful people who have unique areas of knowledge and usually have 20 plus years on me.
The day after the ZOIQ event I was in a mastermind that was unbelievable. I had never felt soo much synergy. The room I was in had the power to create a billion dollar company and probably will. If you want to become very successful in your line of work you need to learn to surround yourself with other succeffyl people. You are the average of the 5 people you hang around. You show me your freiends and I will show you your future.
Who are you spending the most time with?
