Episode 168: Live Every Day As If It Were Your Last

On September 27, 2013 I lost my good friend Lee Michael Smith in a Car accident.  That day my view on life changed forever.  I learned to live every day as if it were my last.  Every day I strive to get better to live for Lee and to become the best I can possibly be while here on earth.  If you were to die tomorrow would you be happy with your life?  I urge you to soul search and make sure you are living life to the fullest.

Most people go through life living on some one else’s terms and doing things that they don’t love.  Sometimes it takes a life experience for them to make a drastic change in their life.  Why wait for something to happen? Make change now so 6 months or a year from now you can look back and be happy with what you are doing and living life to the fullest on your own terms.  At the end of the day you are the only person who can decide your own destiny and happiness.

I get asked all the time how I manage to do everything that I do.  Where do I find the time and still be able to stay sane?  Here is the one line that I tell people to motivate them.  “You are going to die!” We all are going to die and since I take that more seriously and know our time here is short, I make it my duty to be the best person I can possibly be and live life to the fullest.  Everyday I do what I love, and make sacrifices to ensure my future is everything I imagine it to be so as I continue to look back on my life I see how far I have come and I can say I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished.

I have many goals to achieve in this lifetime but I can honestly say if I were to die tomorrow I’m satisfied with the life I have lived to date and have experienced a lot for being 26 years old.

It’s never too late for you to make a change in your life for the better.  Make the change that your loved ones in heaven would be proud of.  Live for them and remember them.  That’s what I would want my loved ones to do if I died tomorrow.
