Following The FUND Formula

Over the past couple of years, I’ve learned a lot about raising money through crowdfunding.

What I’ve learned is the formula that you need to use whether you’re trying to sell out an event, become a best-selling author, or launch a new product or service.

I use these tactics and strategies on a regular basis, no matter what I’m working on at the time.

Here’s the 4-step FUND formula I created:

This formula is extremely useful when it comes to selling things or raising money. The problem is, most people aren’t following something like this and they’re failing.

Let’s break it down a bit…

Forethought Process

This is the first component of the FUND formula.

A large majority of people struggle with preparation or having any patience. They don’t prepare for what they’re about to launch, and they show up and think things are just going to fall into place.

Whether it’s a book launch, a crowdfunding campaign, an event, or anything else in life, you need to put in the work! Be consistent every single day leading up to your big moment.

Think ahead and put in the necessary work – it will pay off.

Utilize A Marketing Plan

In order to have a big boom in your success, you NEED to focus on having a marketing plan.

I’m not talking about a few shares on social media and messaging some friends. What I’m talking about is pure GRIND!

Share consistently and message people personally every day. It takes personal interaction as well as things like promotions on podcast shows, social media giveaways, or referral programs.

You have to put things out nonstop. Create multiple touch points with your audience so that they see your stuff enough and eventually will want to support you on your journey.

Marketing is everything.

Narrative – The Storytelling Aspect

You have to be able to tell a story. This can be done through a Facebook live, a podcast, writing a book, etc. – just tell your story!

Share who you are, what you do, and talk about your movement. If you have an event coming up, talk about what you’re doing to prepare for it and what people are going to get out of it.

Telling your story will make you memorable which will help build your following and tribe.

Delivering Value

Remember to always deliver tons of value. Overdeliver and provide so much value that they will see what you have to offer is worth their time.

People need to get something in return for supporting you, and they need to be remembered for it. If you don’t show value, people don’t care.

Give your audience a reason to gravitate to you and you will see the results through the revenue you generate.
