Friday Funday 14: A Surprise Guest Reveals The “Framework”

A few weeks ago at our first ever in-person mastermind weekend in Orlando, Florida — the small, tight knit group of my new crew got a surprise visit…

We were all privy to some golden nuggets of marketing genius from a special guest presenter…

Even I learned tons and was glad we captured it on video so everyone can watch it back a second time!

The surprise guest?

It was none other than Emmy Award-Winning Producer and digital marketing master Greg Rollett.

You may have heard Greg’s name from me before…?

He’s also my co-host in Ambitious Adventures. And we’ll be sharing some exciting updates on that T.V. show and its distribution in a few weeks!

But the one thing that stood out for me and many of the masterminders from Greg’s fast-talking, uber-valuable teaching was…

Your business needs a framework.

What do you mean by that?

Another way to say it is that your business needs to be known for something that people can wrap their heads around.

Now, you can have more than one, but you need to start with something tangible that can help new people understand what you can do to solve their problems.

Ever notice how effective presentations, lessons, or lead magnets are often structured like, “The 7 Habits of …” or “How to Build XYZ in 5 Easy Steps…”?

Talking on and on about all you know without boiling it down into a memorable ‘framework’ means your message will not be conveyed, learned, or remembered as well as it could be.

Greg has the Ambitious A.C.T.I.O.N. plan where each letter in the work ACTION stands for something relevant to what he does to help his clients.

I used to have the F.U.N.D. Formula when I focused on crowdfunding only…
F: forethought
U: utilize marketing plan
N: narrative
D: deliver value

I Need Feedback on My New Framework!

Because the brands of Live to Grind and Accelerant Media Group are my new(er) babies, I wanted to apply some of the great teachings from Greg to these businesses.

Here’s what I came up with…

But I want your HONEST feedback and thoughts…how can I make it better before I share it with the world?

The plan is to use this as our core principles and ‘framework.’ So every video we shoot, every accelerator we run, every podcast I record, every T.V. interview I land, and every blog article we publish can speak back to the framework and enhance what we are known for.

Make sense?

Cool…then, here is our new framework…

B.R.A.N.D.

B: Books & Blogs – Make a name for yourself with the written word!

R: Record – Grab a camera and hit record to share your advice and business life with Facebook Live, SnapChat, Instagram stories, and YouTube videos!

A: Audio – Start a podcast, get interviewed on podcasts, and speak on stage. Have your voice heard!

N: Network – Your network is your net worth so you need to always be connecting, masterminding, and growing your network.

D: Differentiate – Stand out in the crowd. Never copy or imitate. Be uniquely you and grow YOUR tribe.
