Who has accomplished big successes in their lifetime by themselves?
They either have a team, friend, or significant other that pushes them to achieve successes.
No one can be successful with a team of one.
The most successful people in the world didn’t get to where they are at now by doing everything on their own, they had a team beside them. Individuals need mentors and other like-minded individuals who can help them achieve successes faster than they think they could by themselves.
Think about it, all of us have strengths in some areas but nobody has strengths in every skill known to man. Therefore, it is not logical to try and do everything on our own in a business when you can create a team who can leverage different skills. Some people may not want to hire employees because of the money it would cost them, but in the long run it’s worth dividing out the work instead of stressing yourself out with 10 times as much work. I have seen people try and do all the work themselves in a business and let me tell you, it didn’t end well.
The best investment one can make for their business and themselves is to surround themselves with people that they look up to. Nowadays people are joining mastermind groups, getting mentors, building up their teams left and right because they see the value of synergy amongst people that see the same vision as you.
If I didn’t have a team right now, I would have not accomplished everything that I have done today. My team is what gets me to high level of successes on a daily basis. I trust my team enough to step back from work for a couple days and return knowing everything is taken care of. That is the state you should be at with your business and employees.
Teamwork also creates more opportunities and ideas in the workplace. If you are working on something and stumble upon a problem or can’t think of a situation, you are stuck, by yourself. You may not know why your product, course, or service may not be selling because you don’t have any other outside source to let you know. However, with the more brains you have, you could overcome that problem and get feedback from the people that you are working with.
Teams also can prevent you from making mistakes in the present or future which can assist you in the long run. Like what I said earlier, your team will specialize in different areas of your business so if you are not familiar with a specific function, you don’t have to worry about learning it. People that you associate yourself with will also help you gain connections and more ideas that you couldn’t have thought about on your own. I have gotten some of my best ideas from collaborating with my team members.
How Do You Find A Winning Team?
Go to events, mixers, conferences, anywhere that you can find individuals that have the same mindset as you. If you are based locally attend meetups in your town, you never know who you will meet that can be your next sales person, graphic designer, or accountant.
Some people also struggle with finding team members that will stay loyal to you and be around for a long time. I have dealt with this and every person that I bring on my team has to read the book, Think and Grow Rich, and add some type of value so I know they aren’t in it just for the money. Sometimes I even have people work for free until I know that they have the same vision as me.
You are the average of the 5 people that you surround yourself with.
Who is your inner circle and how are they helping you reach the goals that you want? Are you associating yourself with people that help you or hurt you? I have associated myself with numerous people who I have helped get them far and they have helped me reach some of my goals.
Once you find people that have the same vision, mindset, and route as you, you will find yourself building an empire to take on the future successes.
